These gorgeous Charcoal coloured Wool and Sheepskin Fleece Slippers Socks are proudly handmade in New Zealand.
The slipper socks are lovely and soft, made from Australian sheep wool for the sock, with New Zealand sheepskin fleece lining the sole. You get the fleece on the inside and the skin on the outside (bottom of sole). The sheepskin softly cradles the bottom of your feet, and the wool sock is snug but not scratchy. The skin sole grips floors well.
The main colour is Charcoal Grey, with a contrasting light grey at the top of the sock. The foot of the sock is prettily embroidered with multicoloured flowers.
They are incredibly warm, with the sock knitted from 2 strands of 8-ply pure Australian wool, and the base made from lovely thick New Zealand sheepskin (the fleece on the inside, the skin on the outside). The fleece is around 2.5cm (1') thick.
Perfect for anyone who feels the cold. Warmer than socks, they are excellent for people with circulation problems or those who really feel the cold, and they are wonderful for wearing around the house in the wintertime. You can even wear them to bed!

The Slipper Socks are available in all womens sizes. My aim is to keep stock on hand at all times, but please allow a week for manufacture, just in case. Please order based on the shoe size you normally wear.

Here in New Zealand and probably many other countries who import shoes, shoe sizes can vary. So if you are unsure of your shoe size, please get someone to measure the length of your foot while you stand against the wall, on a measuring tape or ruler.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: These lovely slipper socks are made for wearing around the house, preferably tucked up in a chair or on the sofa. They are not made to be worn outdoors.
CLEANING: The sheepskin fleece should only need a shake and an airing to keep it nice and fresh. But if necessary, you can handwash the whole sock in lukewarm water with a wool detergent. Do not soak. Just squeeze the suds through the sock, and then rinse well in cold water. Do not wring or rub. Squeeze the excess moisture out by wrapping the socks in a towel and standing on them. Dry in a warm spot away from direct heat. Easy!
